This project was inspired by the fabulous Julie Jackson of Subversive Cross Stitch. Her designs combine the charm of cross stitch with a not-so-subtle dash of impropriety. Who can resist the declaration of “Home Sweet Fucking Home” enclosed in a border of timid pink flowers?
This sort of project is endlessly customisable and makes a lovely piece of wall art. The only tricky thing is finding nice patterns to adapt. Here’s a list of good sites I came across in my searches:
